1.1This test method describes calibration of the length change (deflection) measurement or thermal expansion of thermomechanical analyzers (TMAs) within the temperature range from –150 to 1000°C using the thermal expansion of a suitable reference material.

1.2The values stated in SI units are to be regarded as standard. No other units of measurement are included in this standard.

1.3This test method differs from ISO 11359-1 by providing an alternative calibration procedure.

1.4This standard does not purport to address all of the safety concerns, if any, associated with its use. It is the responsibility of whoever uses this standard to consult and establish appropriate safety and health practices and determine the applicability of regulatory limitations prior to use.
