1.1This standard is intended to be used in conjunction with the general requirements for the analysis of seized drugs (Practices E2326, E2327, E2329, and E2549; Guides E2548 and E2329). This standard provides guidance on the chemical analysis of items and samples related to suspected clandestine drug laboratories. This standard provides general guidance for the analysis of clandestine drug laboratory evidence and is not a substitute for detailed and validated laboratory policies and technical procedures.
1.2This standard cannot replace knowledge, skills, or abilities acquired through education, training, and experience (see Practice E2326) and is to be used in conjunction with professional judgment by individuals with such discipline-specific knowledge, skills, and abilities.
