1.1ÂThis standard covers the classification of petroleum and non-petroleum based ignitable liquids encountered in fire debris analysis.
1.2ÂThe classification system is based upon the chemical properties of unevaporated, unweathered, or unaltered ignitable liquids analyzed in accordance with Test Methods E1618, E2881, and E2997.
1.3ÂThis standard does not purport to address all of the safety concerns, if any, associated with its use.
