Abstract - (Show below) - (Hide below)

CONTAINED IN VOL. 11.05, 2016 Specifies the utility and effectiveness of antimicrobial agents intended to control microbial growth in invert emulsions and other water containing hydraulic fluids.

Scope - (Show below) - (Hide below)

1.1This laboratory practice is designed to evaluate the utility and effectiveness of antimicrobial agents intended to control microbial growth in invert emulsions and other water containing hydraulic fluids.

Note 1:Procedures for preparation of water soluble hydraulic fluids and recovery of organisms appear in Practice E2169.

1.2The values stated in SI units are to be regarded as standard. No other units of measurement are included in this standard.

1.3This standard does not purport to address all of the safety concerns, if any, associated with its use. It is the responsibility of the user of this standard to establish appropriate safety and health practices and determine the applicability of regulatory limitations prior to use.
