1.1This guide provides a format for documenting information and performance data from a permeation test.
1.2Documented information and data are grouped into five major categories that define important aspects of each test:
1.2.1Protective clothing material,
1.2.2Test method,
1.2.3Challenge chemical,
1.2.4Test results, and
1.2.5Source of the data.
1.3Use of this guide is facilitated by adherence to the procedures outlined in a standard test method.
1.4This international standard was developed in accordance with internationally recognized principles on standardization established in the Decision on Principles for the Development of International Standards, Guides and Recommendations issued by the World Trade Organization Technical Barriers to Trade (TBT) Committee.
