1.1This practice provides requirements related to the maintenance program for LSA, the qualifications to accomplish the various levels of maintenance, and handling of major repairs and alterations.

1.2LSA aircraft manufacturers have principal responsibility for defining the procedures and level of maintenance personnel qualification consistent with regulations for all aspects of maintenance, repairs, or alterations, inclusive of airframe, engine, propeller, and any other items attached to the aircraft.
