This method is for determining total sulfur in liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) by hydrogenolysis using a commercially available analyzer. Sulfur is determined over a quantitative range of 0.1 to several hundred mass-ppm. This method cannot be used on LPG samples containing halogens at concentrations greater than ten times the sulfur level.
