Provides definition of the interworking relationship between D-channel and layer-3 functions and protocol employed across an ISDN user-network interface and the ISDN user part functions and protocol of Signalling System No 7. It is made up of five sections. Section 1 describes the purpose and scope of this standard and its relationship with other American National Standards on signalling. Section 2 describes the methodology used to describe the interworking between the ISDN User-Network Interface protocol as defined in ANSI T1.607 and the Integrated Services Digital Network User Part as defined in ANSI T1.113-1988. Sections 3 and 4 describe the interworking procedures for successful call set-up and release, respectively. Section 5 describes the interworking procedures in case of an unsuccessful call set-up.
