92 VERSION CONTAINED IN ASME PV CODE 2C AS SFA-5.4 Prescribes requirements for the classification of covered stainless steel electrodes for shielded metal arc welding. These electrodes deposit a chromium content of not less than 10.5% and the the iron content exceeds that of any other element. For classification purposes, the iron content shall be derived as the balance element when all other elements are thought to be at their minimum specified values.
