Specifies the maximum permissible number of perforations per unit area, nominal width tolerance, heat seal performance and corrosion resistance requirements of foil with a protective coating on both sides. Also composition and thickness requirements prior to coating.

This British Standard specifies material and performance requirements for aluminium foil of 0.012 mm or 0.015 mm nominal thickness, having a flexible protective coating, capable of being heat-sealed, on both sides, supplied in rolls for the wrapping of processed cheese, pasteurized cheese and pasteurized cheese spreads.
