This part of BS1722 specifies performance requirements for the manufacture of steel mesh site perimeter temporary fencing. It includes test methods for the verification that these requirements have been met. Information on the construction of a typical fence panel that would meet these requirements has also been included. NOTE This part of BS1722 complements and expands on the guidance given by the Health & Safety Executive in its guidance document HS G 151, Protecting the public, your next move [1]. This document is intended to assist the construction industry and ensure the safety of members of the public in the UK.
