    This Part of BS1765 specifies requirements and test methods for general purpose hospital bedside lockers suitable for use by patients. It also makes recommendations for the design of lockers and for information to be provided by a purchaser to a manufacturer. It does not apply to lockers made of metal or lockers intended to accommodate day clothes.

    NOTE1 Lockers for accommodating day clothes are specified in BS1765-2.
