NO CONTENTS SECTION

Gives a method for the recovery of bituminous binders from pavements and from similar bituminous materials in a form suitable for further testing. The procedure is suitable for the recovery of bitumen of measurable penetration; it may also be used for materials containing volatile matter such as cut back bitumen but the results may be less precise. The separation and recovery are designed to cause the minimum change in the properties of the binder. This method is also used for the recovery of soluble binder from pitch bitumen or tar bitumen mixtures.
