Defines a procedure for determining vanadium and nickel content in liquid petroleum products. Also for possible application to semi-solid and solid petroleum products, either liquefied by moderate heating or completely soluble in the defined organic solvent mixture. Applies to products with vanadium contents in the range 5 - 1000 mg/kg, and nickel contents in range 5 - 100 mg/kg, - higher contents may be obtained by appropriate dilution.
