Gives the general principles and the procedures for thermoplastics in the preparation of compression moulded test specimens and sheets from which test specimens may be machined or stamped. Standardises the main steps of the procedure, with four different cooling methods to obtain mouldings in a reproducible state. Not suitable for reinforced thermo plastics. Illustrates types of flash ("picture frame") moulds and positive type mould.
