Describes requirements for class A1 petroleum fuel oil for automotive diesel engines. While this applies to petroleum fuel, it is recognized that there is currently growing interest in the possibility of deriving alternative fuels. When assessing suitability of such alternative fuels, the standard may be used only as a general guide. Covers sampling, composition and requirements precision and interpretation of test results.
