This standard describes methods of test for the following cellulose acetate flake properties: moisture content; ash content; acetic acid yield; bulk density; particle size distribution; free acidity; viscosity ratio of a 5 g/L solution at 25 °C; viscosity at a concentration of 60 g/L; viscosity at 25 % concentration at 25 °C; insoluble particles; original light absorption and change of light absorption after heating of plasticized cellulose acetate; the reduction in viscosity ratio on moulding.
