NO CONTENTS SECTION
Specifies a range of rainwater goods in a choice of aluminium alloys manufactured by casting, extruding or by a wrought process. BS EN 612 covers a different type of product and does not replace BS 2997. Harmonization of European standards led to BS 2997:1958, being withdrawn in 2007 and left the United Kingdom with no standard for its traditional generic styles of aluminium gutter and rainwater pipe systems. BS 8530:2010 covers UK styles of traditional cast and extruded aluminium gutters and fittings, together with extruded aluminium rainwater pipes with cast aluminium sockets and fittings, all of which are excluded from BS EN 612 and BS EN 1462.
