This British Standard specifies requirements for inspection and testing, chemical composition, condition, heat treatment and mechanical properties of precipitation hardeningchromium-nickel-copper-molybdenum steel castings having a strength of 1 250 MPa. (Cr 14.0, Ni 4.5, Cu 2.5, Mo 1.5).
Requirements are also given for the rectification of defects and the detection of flaws.
