Describes electric washing machines for washing textile material, with or without means for water heating, water extraction or drying. Washing machines with a spin extractor must also comply with EN 60 335-2-4. Washing machines with a tumbler dryer must also comply with EN 335-2-11. Washing machines not intended for household to the public are within the scope of this standard. Excludes washing machines designed for industrial or commercial purposes, and washing machines used in locations where special conditions prevail. Washing machines used in vehicles or on board ships or aircraft, additional requirements may be necessary.
