This Part of BS 4443 describes the method of test that applies to flexible cellular products of polymeric origin: determination of tear strength of flexible materials with an integral skin and a density not greater than 500 kg/m3 and determination of compression set under humid conditions. NOTE 1 The tear strength method described produces a value that may be regarded as a measure of the tear strength of the skinned foam under the conditions of the particular test. NOTE 2 The titles of the publications referred to in this standard are listed on the inside back cover.
