    Requirements for preferred sizes for smooth or ribbed alloy steel bars in straight lengths supplied in either hot rolled or hot rolled and processed conditions. Two nominal strength levels, 835 N/mm2 and 1080 N/mm2 subject to the processed condition.

    Scope - (Show below) - (Hide below)

    This British Standard specifies requirements for preferred sizes of smooth or ribbed alloy steel bars in straight lengths supplied in the hot rolled or hot rolled and processed conditions. Two nominal strength levels of steel are specified. This standard does not specify fatigue testing, this subject being included in BS 4447. Stress-corrosion testing is not specified.
