Specifies requirements covering 14 grades of steel. Chemical composition, mechanical properties, testing, non-destructive testing either dye-penetrant or acid-etched ring, standards of acceptance, dimensional tolerances and marking. Charts establish acceptable levels of dye-penetrant indications for four classes of tube. An appendix shows the relationship between British and American Standard Specifications.
