This Part of BS 4742 specifies the requirements for location, dimensions, zone of clearance and performance of the low pressure return to sump port connection on agricultural tractors for use with agricultural equipment incorporating hydraulic equipment powered from a tractor external hydraulic service. The low pressure return connection is intended for use in conjunction with external systems which require minimal return to sump oil flow restriction, for example, hydraulic motors.
