This Section of BS 5173 describes a method to determine the resistance to fire of hose assemblies.
NOTE This Section of BS 5173 does not specify the test pressure at which the tests are carried out or the minimum bend radius at which the test is to be performed. These details are specified in the appropriate hose product specification along with the period for which the test flame is to be applied and reference to grades of resistance to fire.
