    Describes a method for determining abrasion resistance of outer cover of rubber hoses. Designed primarily for testing hydraulic hoses with textile or wire reinforcement and a nominally smooth and parallel cover. Not intended for predicting product abrasion life, but suitable for comparison of quality levels. Does not give the number of cycles to be completed in each test; this number will be specified in appropriate product specification.
