Italso gives guidance on installed equipment for fire and rescue service use, and on portable fire extinguishers.
This part of BS5306 does not cover firefighting systems for the following applications:
use on ships, in aircraft, on vehicles and mobile fire appliances;
use below ground in themining industry;
explosion suppression systems.
