Gives requirements for plugs, socket outlets, cable couplers and appliance couplers of splashproof construction referred to as accessories. They are used with single-phase a.c. supplies with a voltage not exceeding 250 V and a frequency not exceeding 500 Hz, and with d.c. supplies not exceeding 250 V. Two rated current values are covered: 25 A and 45 A. Accessories are intended for use in the film and television industry for lighting purposes 'on location' either indoors or outdoors. Intended for continuous use in ambient temperatures between -20 Degrees C and +35 Degrees C. Includes protection against electric shock, resistance to ageing, normal wear and tear, resistance to heat, fire tracking, rusting and moisture.
