CINEMATOGRAPHY - GLOSSARIES - GLOSSARY OF TERMS USED IN THE MOTION PICTURE INDUSTRY
Hardcopy , PDF

English

Provides a glossary of terms used in the motion-picture industry, grouped in sections with a comprehensive index. Generally those terms which are in everyday use and/or adequately defined in the Oxford Dictionary, in general use in the theatrical business and specialist terms which are defined in BS 661 and BS 4727 are excluded. When synonymous terms are in use, that which is favoured is given first and the alternative(s) are given below in less prominent type. These alternative terms are included in the index but it is hoped that they will gradually fall into disuse.
