Presents two methods for determination of bulk density (tapped) of solid fertilizers : - the machine tapping method (method 1) and the hand tapping method (method 2). Methods apply to dry fertilizers only. If fertilizer has absorbed moisture during transport or storage, it must be dried in an environmental chamber, with constant low humidity, before determination. Not suitable for materials with a large proportion of particles exceeding 5 mm in diameter. Method 2 applies only to spherical granules and to prills.
