Describes a method for determination of bulk density (loose) of solid fine-grained fertilizers. Applicable to fertilizers with a large proportion of particles of diameters less than 0.5 mm. NOTE - for fertilizers with particles of diameters within the range from 0.5 to 5 mm, a method is described in ISO 3944. Applicable to dry fertilizers only. If fertilizer has absorbed moisture during transport or storage, it must br dried in an environmental chamber, with constant low humidity, before determination. Deals with principle, apparatus and procedure.
