Specifies the main features of the confirmation system to be used for a supplier's measuring equipment. Contains quality assurance requirements for a supplier to ensure that measurements are made with intended accuracy; also contains advice on the implementation of the requirements. Applies to: testing laboratories (including those providing a calibration service); to suppliers of services or products who operate in a quality system in which measurement results are used to show compliance with specified requirements; and to other organisations where measurement is used to demonstrate compliance with specified requirements.
