    This Part of BS 5815 specifies the requirements for the materials, manufacture, make-up and testing of terry towels and babies’ terry napkins.

    The dimensions of these articles are also specified.

    Information to be supplied by the purchaser is given in Appendix A

    Appendix B includes a table giving cross references between item references in this revision (BS 5815-2:1987) and in BS 5815:1979, as well as Ministry of Defence (MOD) descriptions, pattern numbers and NATO stock numbers, where applicable.
