Bibliography
This standard contains a series of instructions for the installation (including design, inspection, commissioning and maintenance) of gas fires, convector heaters, fire/back boilers and heating stoves burning 2nd and 3rd family gases for the purpose of heating rooms or spaces in domestic or commercial premises. It is addressed to competent (i.e., Corgi-registered) persons undertaking such installations, and covers the selection of a suitable appliance, flueing and ventilation, and other measures necessary to ensure a safe installation. Complying with this standard results in a correctly designed, installed, inspected, commissioned and maintained installation incorporating appropriate ventilation and flueing that meets best practice, satisfies statutory requirements, and ensures a safe installation.
