Describes biological testing for benthic macroinvertebrates by sampling fresh waters up to one metre deep over stoney substrata. The procedures apply to the sampling of all accessible aquatic habitats in estuaries, streams and rivers where current velocities over 0,1 m/s may be expected, but the samplers, with modifications, may be used in locations of low current velocity, such as lakes and ponds. Coverage includes apparatus and diagrams. BS AMD 8180 RENUMBERS THIS STANDARD TO BS EN 28265
