Describes procedures for the determination of pressure ripple levels generated by positive displacement hydraulic pumps over a frequency range of 125 Hz to 8000 Hz under controlled conditions and operation which are suitable for providing a basis of comparison in terms of ten individual harmonics of pumping frequency and the overall r.m.s. rating.
