Gives a visual colorimetric method for the determination of the aldehydes content of ethanol for industrial use. Applicable to products having aldehyde contents, expressed as acetaldehyde, in the range 0,00025 to 0,00125% (m/m). Includes sections on principle and reagents.

This Part of BS 6392 describes a visual colorimetric method for the determination of the aldehydes content of ethanol for industrial use.
The method is applicable to products having aldehyde contents, expressed as acetaldehyde, in the range 0,000 25 to 0,001 25%(m/m).
