Defines a titrimetric method for determination of free hydroxyl groups in binders and binder solutions for paints and varnishes. These groups may be present as polyhydric alcohols, partial esters, polyester and groups of hydroxylted fatty acids. Does not apply to resins which contain both hydroxyl and epoxy groups or to cellulose nitrate or phenolic resins. BS AMD 10149 RENUMBERS THIS STD
