This Section of BS 7011 specifies the dimensions and optical properties of a range of twelve nominal sizes of microscope slides suitable for use for transmitted light microscopy in the visible spectral range.

NOTE 1 The visible spectral range is defined as being the range from 400 nm to 760 nm.
