This International Standard specifies a flame atomic absorption spectrometric method for the determination of nickel and/or chromium contents of iron ores.

This method is applicable to nickel and/or chromium contents between 0,003 % (m/m) and 0,1 % (m/m)1) in natural iron ores, iron ore concentrates and agglomerates, including sinter products.
