This Part of BS 7033 specifies requirements for chamois leather cloth substitutes for window cleaning, for cleaning vehicle paintwork and similar applications.

NOTE 1. The fabrics are normally made from polyvinyl alcohol fibres, needlefelted and chemically treated but other types of fabric are used, e.g. synthetic rubber coated, or bonded woven cellulosic fabrics or bonded cellulosic nonwovens.
