Abstract - (Show below) - (Hide below)

Lays down the basis for the creation of graphical symbols for use on equipment. Contains rules for designing symbols, including their shape and size, and instructions for their application. May be employed to identify the equipment or a part of the equipment, to indicate functional states, to designate connections, to provide information on packaging and to provide instructions for the operation of the equipment. Does not apply to graphical symbols intended for use on drawings, use in technical product documentation and public information.
