Recommends validation procedures for welding equipment constructed and used to the accuracy defined in BS EN 60974-1 or other standards equivalent to it. The equipment is designated as standard grade. Equipment covered includes welding power sources, wire feeders and welding instrumentation. Also gives a guide on the validation and calibration of ancillary equipment capable of affecting the weld quality, for example, thermocouples, flow gauges, manipulators and robots.
