This British Standard specifies the characteristics of ferrous and non-ferrous split pins with metric dimensions and nominal diameter from 0.6 mm to 20 mm inclusive.

Guidance as to the size of split pins to be fitted to bolts and clevis pins is given in Annex A of this standard.
