    Defines a laboratory method for measuring hydrogen permeation and to determine the hydrogen atom uptake and transport in metals by means of an electrochemical technique. Covers a method for the evaluation of hydrogen uptake in metals based on measurement of steady-state hydrogen flux. Determines an effective diffusivity of hydrogen atoms in a metal and distinguishes reversible and irreversible trapping.
