List of references

Gives requirements for bitumen seal coatings, factory applied to the surface of cement mortar linings, also factory applied to the interior of ferrous pipes and fittings. Should not exclude the use and development of suitable alternatives. Intended to prevent leaching of lime and other hydroxides from the cement into the water supply, possibly causing an elevation of pH in excess of the prescribed concentration of 9.5, as determined by the Water Supply (Water Quality) Regulations 1989, amended by the regulations of 1991 and 1990 in Scotland.
