    Presents information, advice and guidance on the principles of the conserving of historic buildings, applying to buildings, civil engineering and other standing structures either included in the statutory list of buildings of special architectural or historic interest or scheduled ancient monuments. Provides information on the settings of such buildings and structures, including interiors, contents, fixtures and fittings and design of new work. May also be relevant in the assessment of proposals for buildings of architectural or historic interest not listed or scheduled, especially those contributing to the special interest of conservation areas.
