This part of BS7976 specifies a method of operation of the pendulum tester specified in BS7976‑1. It is applicable only for use in determining the slip resistance of pedestrian surfaces.
This standard does not apply to the specific procedures for road and airfield surfaces in BSEN13036‑4, or to the use of the pendulum test as described in current product standards.
NOTE This method of operation is used to determine the pendulum test value. It is also used during calibration, the method of which is specified in BS7976‑3.
