    Provides recommendations on laying cementitious levelling screeds and wearing screeds.

    Scope - (Show below) - (Hide below)

    This part of BS8000 gives recommendations on laying cementitious levelling screeds and wearing screeds.

    This British Standard does not cover laying concrete bases or direct finished concrete wearing surfaces, recommendations for which are given in BS8204‑1 and BS8204‑2 respectively.

    Recommendations on design aspects of levelling screeds and wearing screeds are given in BS8204‑1 and BS8204‑2 respectively.

    NOTE This code of practice includes supplementary elements in the form of commentaries to assist in its use and understanding. Compliance with the commentaries is not necessary in order to be able to claim conformity with the standard.
