This British Standard gives recommendations for the design, installation, commissioning, operation and remote monitoring of detector-activated CCTV systems. This standard is intended to provide recommendations to the following parties: installers and maintenance providers on best practice for the design, installation, commissioning and operation of detector‑activated CCTV systems; NOTE This includes the installation and maintenance engineers working for the installers and maintenance providers. remote video response centres (RVRCs) monitoring CCTV systems; and owners and users regarding the management of CCTV systems.
